Sampling the Psalms // John Tappan
The Psalms teach us about the greatness of God and about the nature of mankind. They take us from the depths of desperation to the exuberance of worship, from the isolation of loneliness and illness to the restoration of hope and faith.
As we consider the structure and organization of the Psalms, we will sample writings from different authors in several genres—psalms of lament, songs of ascent, royal, prophetic, and trust psalms. We will learn from this study that we are to trust God and praise Him continually, despite any circumstances.
