Topher became the student pastor to students in August 2011. He received his Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry from Dallas Baptist University. His objective in ministry is to connect people to Jesus, share the gospel and teach His word.
Topher and his wife Leya were married in 1999 and have a daughter Drew and a son Asher.
Cliff became the Worship Pastor in 2009. He worked as an intern in the College Ministry from 2003-2005, then joined the staff in 2005 as College Minister. While filling an interim position in the worship ministry during 2008, God called him to step in obedience into that role permanently.
Cliff is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Carson-Newman College in 2003 with a degree in Church Music. Cliff and his wife Pam have a son Reid (4) and welcomed their daughter Emerson in March. They are also foster parents.
Worship is not something that magically happens through song on Sunday mornings. It is a mere response of God's holiness, and this response takes place at home, at work, in the car, anywhere. Much of our corporate worship in the church body does take place in our Worship Center through music, but it is our goal that this time together becomes simply another marker placed within a entire lifestyle of worship of our King.
David joined the West Rome family in March of 2014. He and his wife Chasidy have two daughters: Rian age 13 and Hannah age 10. They are both very active in sports and keep the family running!
Currently, David is enrolled at Liberty University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Family Counseling. He previously served on a church staff for six years working in everything from facilities management to children’s and youth ministry. He volunteered in the children’s ministry for 10 years, so he knows both sides of Children’s Ministry...Volunteer and Leadership. Before full time ministry, he was a foreman for an electrical company.
His call into children’s ministry has no definitive date. In the summer of 2009, God called him into the ministry. Not knowing where to start, he enrolled in school and began to seek His direction. The children’s director at his church resigned, and as a long time volunteer, he was asked to fill in as director. It was a perfect fit. One of the strongest forces driving his love for the next generation is the time God allows him to serve the families of the church.
Ashley came on staff in July of 2014 as the Preschool Minister. She and her husband Blaine have been married for four years and have three children: Addison, Braxton, and Ella Kate. Both Blaine and Ashley are natives of Rome and look forward to raising their children here.
Ashley was saved at an early age. She knew many years ago that The Lord was preparing her heart for something big and she was faithful to listen and obey. Prior to coming on staff, Ashley was an associate in the West Rome Preschool Ministry.
