who we are
Our vision: “Helping people find and follow God’s plan for their lives.”
We want every person who attends West Rome to be a part of accomplishing that vision by providing opportunities to Grow, Invest, and Share.
One of the most essential pieces of being a Christ follower is our personal growth with God. At West Rome, we emphasize this need and provide a few catalysts to help in this arena. We believe that a major part of our growth should take place in our daily lives instead of inside our church walls. However, through Pastor Jarrod's applicable teaching each week and by offering Growth Groups we seek to help supplement this growth.
We worship together at 10:30 AM in the Worship Center and 6:00 PM in The Warehouse each Sunday.
Adult Growth Groups serve as a source of connection to other believers and as an opportunity to study the Bible in a group setting. Groups are offered primarily on Sunday mornings, although a few others are also available. Visit the Growth Group page to see all Growth Group options and descriptions.
Short-Term Study Groups:
Our short-term study groups are exactly what the name implies. Whether using books, a curriculum, or a video series, these groups typically meet during one academic semester. The great majority of short-term study groups meet on Wednesday nights and correspond their meeting times with the children's and youth ministry schedules. These groups are a perfect opportunity to dig in and grow within a specific area of life, depending on which study you attend. After a few weeks of starting, most of these groups close. Be on the lookout for registrations on our site often.
We challenge our church to invest in the Kingdom through both service and financial giving. Opportunities to serve in the church are offered in a variety of ministry areas on Sundays (9:00 AM, 10:30AM, 6:00PM) and Wednesday evenings. It is as simple as choosing a time and a ministry area. See Megan VanMeter in the Welcome Center on Sundays for more information on service opportunities.
Investment through financial giving is a spiritual discipline that is a Biblical expectation for those who follow Christ. Our church finances are overseen by the church administrator as well as our Elders and we strive to be stewards of every dollar. Contributions can be made in our worship service, in the church office, or onilne.
Our foremost mission as a local church and as a part of the global Church is to help people know God through a relationship with Christ - hence, our vision statement. We do so by living lifestyles of service led by the Holy Spirit and by offering mission opportunities to reach our community, state, nation and world with the good news of Christ.
