The worship ministry of West Rome exists for a sole reason: To glorify God by leading lives of worship. This occurs primarily during the week, but on Sundays we celebrate through music and creative arts in corporate worship. We believe that by connecting with others through music we can be effective in helping people find and follow God's plan for their lives. Our worship team consists of a choir, a band, individual worship leaders and a congregation of worshipers.
Our choir is an integral part of creating an appropriate atmosphere of worship in our morning service. We sing primarily contemporary songs during our worship set, including new songs, re-purposed hymns and many others that have become familiar favorites. However, we dedicate much of our rehearsals to choir anthems which create powerful and moving pictures of our dedication and response to our Lord. Our choir members are diverse in that some have extensive musical backgrounds and others simply want to sing, but it is a common heart for serving God through music that creates our unity. Our band is absolutely essential to what we do since much of the emotional movement of music happens with quality instrumentalists who are dedicated to their craft.
Our Sunday evening service provides an alternate worship opportunity for those who serve at WRBC on Sunday mornings while also accommodating those in our community who work during traditional worship hours. This service utilizes an unconventional worship atmosphere with creative elements and contemporary music. Music is highly band-driven with solo or ensemble vocalists.
